A small town called Caerphilly hosts an event at the end of july called The Big Cheese which is the 24th,25th and 26th July .The castle that it's close to is a very historic one and it's a very old castle and it shows you how much time has changed since the times back then. The event it is a chance for companies to show off what they do and local business that most people dont know about. There is a funfair for young people and of course kids. There is a cheese race every year on a friday where teams compete to win prizes for their teams and just have fun. Its a three day event so friday is fireworks and the cheese race and then saturday and sunday everyone arrives to have a look around. On saturday and sunday a reenactment team are all dressed like medieval people and they put on a showing how they lived back in them days and how life was then. There is alot to do for the family and i go with my friends and family every year. The big cheese is on a field called Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields.

The next local spot is Cardiff Bay. This is a real gem because they have so much that happens down there this summer. Every year they have an event on called Cardiff Bay Beach. It's an event where they create a beach looking theme with a funfair and stalls where you can win toys. There is also a little beach to make it feel like a seaside and obviously there is a sea. There's alot down there to do for the entire family on the weekend or throughout the week it's there until september. its amazing for tourist aswell to see what events that wales can put on. There is also alot other than the beach down there you can dine in a restaurant or grab an ice cream on a pier there is alot for the family.
